It really is the wild, wild West - but instead of Adam, Hoss and Little Joe, this Bonanza was once home to Captain Jack, Boston Charley and Black Jim of the Modoc Indian Tribe. Refusing to be confined to a reservation, Captain Jack led the Modocs against the US Army and put up quite a fight before being forced to surrender in the fall of 1873. The Captain and his men were subsequently hanged. It’s now quite a lovely place and home to 415 peaceful folk. You’ll find Bonanza sans the Cartwrights at 42°11′58″ North, 121°24′17″ West. Find your place – find yourself.
