Charm was originally known as Stevenson, but changed its name in 1885. Before that, it was called Putschtown, meaning “a small clump”.
Thankfully, the new(est) and improved name stuck, aptly describing this enchanting area along State Route 557. You can assume many of its residents can brag that they’ve graduated from Charm School…literally.
You can stay at one of the many local inns, but don’t worry – they’ve got electricity, and even television. The Guggisberg Swiss Inn boasts being the home of the Guggisberg “Baby Swiss” Cheese, which was the first baby swiss cheese in the whole world. And really — what’s more loveable than a baby?
